Workshop at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague / Institute of Contemporary History, Prague
The third workshop of the Violence Group took place at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague and the Institute of Contemporary History, Prague.
The Workshop in Prague was opened by the key note speech "Legitimation of violence: a western European perspective" by Heinz-Gerhard Haupt (European University Institute). Heinz-Gerhard Haupt spoke about the impact and meaning of the semantics of violence in Western Europe, especially in the context of state violence. Friday and Saturday were dedicated to the Post-Doc projects as well as to present the members and individual projects of the new Violence Project at the Charles University in Prague.
